Who Ebenezer Youth Are ?

Who we are? We are a group of energized and fun loving youth from ages 12 and up. We like to talk, joke, laugh and always ready to pull a prank J Service Times: Sundays 6:30 – 7:45 PM (Come visit us…we would love to get to know you and grow together in the LORD) Testimonies from our Youth: Likes We like the group discussions during service We really really like our group outing We like the opportunity to share and lead the class discussions Dislikes It would nice to have service outside Sometimes it’s too noisy in the class room
Scripture states, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”(Proverb 21:6) Looking at the key word “train” in this verse, it’s imperative to note that training an individual requires time, hard work and most importantly consistency. We at Ebenezer church consider our youth not just as the future leaders but also current leaders. Therefore, we regard the Youth Ministry as an essential part of our ministry and functions as the heartbeat of our church. A well organized and active youth ministry should be one of the key component ministries of the church. If we are not equipping godly and transformed young leaders in our church than we are not growing.

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills……My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth” Psalm 121:1-2 The need for church building has been there since the foundation of the church. Ebenezer Eritrean church has relocated its meeting place three times in the past four years. The relocation of a church is counterproductive to the core reason of its mission, The Mission of Evangelism. Ebenezer lead by her board of Elders has pursuit the vision to have a building of her own. By His help the church is now more than ever very close in owning and building its own property in the heart of the Nation’s capital. The empty land is located at the intersection of 13th street and Georgia Avenue North West Washington, DC. Ebenezer vested interest in this empty lot and applied the District of Columbia zoning department to merge two piece of land into one. On July 28, 2013, DC zoning department gave the church their determination paper that shows their permission to restructure and merge the two lots into a 14,217 sq.ft one lot. It is not by our strength or professional ability but by His grace, kindness and favor that the church will have its permanent location at this site. "Thus far the LORD has helped us." 1Samuel 7:12. The rest of the project is His to finish. Let’s Glorify His Name. “What shall we then say to these things? If God for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

Ministry Ebenezer Eritrean Church Community Service – Ministry exists to help meet the needs of members of our fellowship.

"A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. ...A certain priest passed by on the other side...likewise a Levite...But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him." (Luke 10:30-34)
