CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

The main goal or purpose of children’s ministry is to spiritually, socially, mentally and/or emotionally train the children and to direct them onto the right path. In Proverbs 22:6, the Bible says “train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it”, and in Ephesians 6:4, it says “and you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.” The church believes that if it doesn’t properly teach and train the children and young people in the way of the Lord, it will lose its future leaders. The ministry breaks the age group down into two, ages 1-6 and 7-14. The two groups of children are nurtured and trained by respective brethren who committed themselves to guide the children on the path to becoming a fully devoted followers and disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. The ministry, in cooperation with the board of elders and the ministry of treasury, equips the children with learning materials. Each week, during Sunday worship service, each of the two groups of children hold their learning and training sessions about Jesus’ teachings with a well-structured curriculum. The ministry also communicates with parents to keep them informed about the ministry’s development in general and their children’s progress in particular.
